I am so mad that Congress passed the ridiculous Prescription Drug Bill that is and will be costing American tax payers billions and not benefiting those who need drugs that I'm determined to become an activist.<br /><br />While millions of people ponder what in the hell this prescription plan is all about, it's the drug companies and the insurance companies that are benefiting. Congress wanted the people to pat them on the back (and subsequently vote for them) by passing this bill. The call was out that seniors needed relief from high drug prices. <br /><br />DON'T pat them on the back and especially DON'T vote for them. They have landed us with a mess, a costly mess.<br /><br />I am determined to get this bill stopped. The American health care problem is a mess and this drug bill only adds to the complexity, expense, and wastefulness. It's time we, the people, stopped this nonsense and got some practical solutions in place. Giving in the the pharmaceuticals and the insurance companies is NOT the way to solve the medical problem in the United States. It is my opinion that their greed is going to be their downfall.<br /><br />I have not, in the past, been completely convinced that the one-pay health care system would work. But I am leaning more and more toward this. I'll have to do some research. All comments are welcome.<br /><br />Medicare, itself, seems to be a program that works fairly well.
